A Non-Troll & Non-Kid Homestuck Blog

flipitturnways:

So, like, if Aradiasprite is just Aradia with the features of a frog (who occasionally ribbits),

and Davesprite is just Dave with the features of seppucrow (who occasionally caws),

and Jadesprite is just Jade with the features of Bec (who occasionally barks),

and Nannasprite and Jaspersprite are just Nanna and Jasper with the features of a harlequin and a tentacle princess, respectively,

then, depending upon whose body touched the kernalsprite first, this new sprite will either be:

  • Vriska, with the features of Tavros (who occasionally lacks confidence? and uses his quirk?). ”A Tavros/bull-themed Vriska”
  • Tavros, with the features of Vriska (who occasionally has just a ton of confidence? and uses her quirk?) “A Vriska/spider-themed Tavros”
  • Somehow neither?

In other words, the personaility of the second thing to touch the kernelsprite + the features of the first.

Also, just as the sword through the crow remained present when Davesprite was formed, it is possible that injuries of either Tavros or Vriska (wow, Tavros is in bad shape) would be present in the new sprite. (Removable head and legs? Eternally bleeding hole in chest?)

You might be a Homestuck character if:

flipitturnways:

·         You are one out of only a handful of people to survive the apocalypse. Everyone else is dead, including your classmates, the mailman, and all celebrities that you may have revered.

·         Those who survived the apocalypse are those closest to your heart. They, too, die. You have seen their bloody corpses, watched them die, and/or were the cause of their death.

·         As a parent, you have watched your only child scribble messages of self-hatred on their bedroom wall. They brush off your attempts to express how proud you are of them.

·         You have sacrificed your humanity in order to ensure the victory of your friends. Your usefulness has run out. A friend you sought to save has momentarily forgotten your existence.

·         An immutable physical characteristic that you were born with is, in your society, reason enough to justify violent discrimination against you.

·         You have vivid memories of a world where things were better. No one else does.

·         You are forced to wait three years before you can be reunited with two of your closest friends.

·         During the three years you spend waiting, you are eagerly looking forward to finally meeting your romantic interest in person. Unbeknownst to you, they are dead.

·         You, in death, finally meet your romantic interest in person. They do not know who you are.

·         You consider an inanimate object to be your best friend.

·         You consider an inanimate object to be more attentive to you and your needs than the person that is the closest thing that you have to a parent.

·         Your world has been entirely taken over by alien invaders that would much rather have you dead. Oceans have risen. Cities have fallen.

·         Two of your closest friends are separated from you not only by thousands of miles, but by years of time.

·         All of the above.

I know I’m definitely missing some.

Wow, knowing what we know now, all this shipping stuff is a lot sadder in retrospect.

flipitturnways:

  • Roxy might’ve wanted Jane to get off her butt and tell Jake how she felt because she knew that things very about to get very bad for them.
  • Dirk has a crush on Jake even though the Jake that he interacts with is from years in the past (but not many). It is like Voices from a Distant Star, guys. The whole friendship between the four kids is like Voices from a Distant Star.
  • This revelation is depressing for your ship, too, Roxy/Jane shippers.
  • Roxy fantasizes about having children with Dirk even though the future of these children would be bleak because they live in an apocolyptic wasteland ruled by an evil alien. Perhaps Roxy is motivated a bit by “let’s save humanity!” sentiments?
  • Jake talks to Jane about perhaps reciprocating Dirk’s affections in the very near future. But there is no future, Jake. (Also, sidenote, but I just realized that Jake has not yet sent the package to John onscreen, and we know that that eventually happens - or perhaps someone else sends it? - so there is some hope that Jake turns out alright enough to send the package and write that adorable letter to John.)
  • Haha, oh man, what if “years in the future” means three years in the future? So Dirk would be thirteen at the time in which we see Jake and Jane, the age at which he made a copy of his brain for the Auto-Responder. I’m… not entirely sure what the significance of that might be, but I’m sure someone else can think through it. (He’s liked Jake for three years, everyone. Three Batterwitch-filled years.)
  • Guys, they were four kids talking about romantic issues on the verge of an alien invasion, and at least two of them knew that. It just shows that no matter what kind of craziness the Homestuck kids get involved with, they’re still just kids.

Dang, what if part of the reason that Roxy wanted Jane to just hurry up and confess her feelings for Jake before it was too late is because she knew that they would both die pretty soon.

Because, it would be nice to tell the person that you liked that you felt that way.

You know,

before you both die.

(Or, if they’re not dead, that the world would soon become a dystopian hellhole.)

what if the reason that this new Pisces troll isn’t wearing a tiara is that she’s just not the empress or evem empress to be in whatever universe she’s from? Feferi was said to have blood even higher on the hemospectrum than the empress, which was why she was next in line for the throne.so, assuming this is the pre-scratch empress, she’s of a lower blood than feferi, who is now the empress, and might not even be in the running for the throne.
